London -- Rubber prices jumped again overnight as trading picked up again after the Chinese new Year holidays. Prices in Shanghai hit $6.60 per kg for May deliveries
In Tokyo, Tocom's benchmark six-month price closed at yen 5.09 ($6.16) per kg, toward the end of the afternoon session on Wednesday 9 Feb. March contracts for April delivery rose above Yen 516 ($6.25)
In Singapore short-dated RSS3 closed at a high of $6.16, up 11 cents from yesterday. Short-dated TSR20 closed up about 5 cents at $5.71/kg .
Indian prices on the NMCE (National Multi-Commodity Exchange) fell slightly, closing at Rs 249 ($5.47)/kg for May delivery.
Chinese prices on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SFE) jumped after the holiday period, with some May contracts trading at yuan 43.5/kg ($6.60).
